In 2025, Hoyt Sherman Place Foundation, in partnership with the Des Moines Register, launched a rebranded presentation of “Des Moines Storytellers Project” previously presented by the Des Moines Register. Tell It Like It Is: Iowa Storytellers Project will present five compelling stories directly from local Iowans on the historic Hoyt Sherman Place stage. Tell It Like It Is: Iowa Storytellers Project seeks to invite Iowans of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences to share an authentic experience of recognition, community, and empathy. Join us for our next event on February 10, “Hearts on Fire,” as part of our ongoing series of storytelling on the Hoyt Sherman Place stage.
