The annual Santa Run 5k returns to the East Village on Saturday, December 13 at 10:00 am.
Whether you are Jolly Jogging, Santa Sprinting, or Winter Wonderland Walking (or Wheeling!), this family friendly event is open to all ages and abilities.
All registrants get a Santa suit and a $10 gift certificate to Fleet Feet Des Moines. However, the REAL present is that $10 of your entry fee also goes to one of the following charities of your choice:
- Girls on the Run
- Children’s & Families of Iowa
- Team Run Free
- Living History Farms
- Boys & Girls Club of Central Iowa
On the day of the race, participants are encouraged to park in the free parking garage at 600 E Locust St, north of the State Historical Society building.
Race start time will begin at 10:00 AM on 5th and Walnut Street, with delicious hot chocolate at the finish line. Then, head over to SingleSpeed for a post-race afterparty with live music!
