About the Speakers:
- Luke Williams is a scholar, artist, organizer, and critic who focuses on Black performance and visual cultures. His work spans topics such as racial capitalism and the aesthetics of the Black radical imagination. Luke earned his PhD in Modern Thought & Literature at Stanford University, where his dissertation explored the navigation of racial capitalism by emerging Black artists. Currently, he serves as an assistant professor at The University of Texas at Austin in the Department of Theatre and Dance.
